EXTERIOR WATERPROOFING
An exterior waterproofing membrane is highly effective. After excavating the walls down to the footings, the waterproofing team cleans the wall and applies the membrane. After that, the membrane is covered with a heavy duty drainage/ insulating board. Then the excavated area is filled with A6 grave and backfill dirt/soil.
ROD HOLE LEAKS
A rod hole is a common weak point in a basement wall where water can infiltrate. These holes are left behind from the construction process when steel rods (snap ties) are used to hold concrete foundation forms in place while the walls are poured. After the forms are removed, small holes remain, which can allow water to seep into the basement if not properly sealed.
BATTERY BACK UP SUMP PUMPS
Pitboss Battery Back Up System - Most powerful 12-volt Battery Backup System pumps 2,580 gallons/hour at a 10′ lift. The PitBoss Battery Backup System features a waterproof circuit board for increased reliability near the sump basin. Warnings and alarms signal the homeowner if there is a problem. Controller automatically tests the backup pump weekly. Includes: built-in charger, float switch, backup pump, and battery case.
Wall Anchors
Wall anchors have been a traditional method for stabilizing bowing basement walls. This system involves placing steel plates on the interior wall and connecting them to anchors buried in the soil outside. The anchors pull the wall back into position, counteracting the external pressure causing the bowing.
